My promotional film for Northumberland Wildlife Trust was recently broadcast on national television.
I filmed, edited and produced this short film to help promote the work of Newcastle-based charity Northumberland Wildlife Trust. It was broadcast on The Community Channel on 22 May at 8pm as part of the Untold Stories series hosted by BBC London’s Alice Bhandhukravi.
The wildlife charity was selected for the Untold Stories scheme, which matches small charities with top filmmakers who volunteer their time to create professional films that demonstrate the impact of the charities’ work.
Northumberland Wildlife Trust is one of 25 charities selected to take part in the eighth series of Media Trust’s Untold Stories scheme supported by Sainsbury’s and Google, which has produced more than 175 films for small charities working in a wide range of areas including disability, race relations, sport, arts and the environment.
The film was directed and produced by documentary filmmaker Alan Fentiman, who filmed in early March in horrendous wet weather at a number of locations in the region including Druridge Bay and the Tyne Valley. The film features Trust staff and local volunteers.
