I have just returned from filming the first UK solo show of artist and musician Stephen Mathewson at The Fishmarket Gallery in Northampton. I spent a lot of time with Stephen discussing art, music and magic flutes.
Residing in Vienna and Hallein, the American painter and graphic artist Stephen Mathewson concentrates his most recent works in narrative story, stemming from comic sketches then reduced and made more painterly when finally landing on canvas, paper or wood in oil and graphite.
I will be uploading snippets featuring my interviews with Stephen as well as a short film about the exhibition.
